Who and Why
Who Operates This Site?
This Web Site is maintained soley by Leonard Taylor, and it is run independent of any church or congregation. I have the support and encouragement of friends and fellow Christians, but the content of these pages is my responsibility. I am especially grateful to my wife for her understanding of my desire to present this material to the world.
This is not a Church of Christ site; it is one of the ways I help to spread the word of God. Yes, I attend a Church of Christ, as it holds fast to the clearly delivered word. Wherever the pure seed of the Word is sown, pure Christians will grow. I bear no man's name, as the blood-bought church does not belong to a man, nor a community, but to God alone.
Some personal information: I grew up attending the Chrurch of Christ, but as is typical(?), after high school I quit attending and tried life without God. I was soon checking out various denominations, but I returned to where the truth is taught. I am 42 years old, married to a wonderful Christian woman, and have two great kids. I live in Southern Arizona, where I greatly admire God's creations. I continue to seek God's will for my life, and feel that this website is a part of it.
Goals and objectives for this site
Why another religious website? I hesitate to use the word called, but despite my own questions about why I am doing this, I feel compelled to work on it. It has helped me to grow as a Christian, during a difficult time. But the real reason for expending the time and money on this site is to help unite Christians in a common understanding of what God's plan for man is. The Church is not a man-made institution, and cannot be governed by man's opinions. It was built by Jesus Christ, and He left us the rules (laws) of how it should function: it's purpose, organization, and mission.
There is far too much division on religious issues in the world today. I strive for unity, but I stand on the truth, and will not be swayed by the "all churches are the same" credo that is so popular today. There is a right and a wrong way to follow God, and we have examples of what happens to those who do it wrong. I have attended various denominations, and I find them all to have left the truth in various critical areas of practice.
Which brought me back to the Church of Christ. The Church is composed of human beings, and therefore imperfect. However, I found a group that holds closest to the pattern I read about in the word of God, and I am working with them. This website is my effort to help establish a common base of belief for the Church of Christ, and all who seek the truth.
I hope that folks surfing the 'net will come across these pages, and be curious enough to look them over. If a visitor agrees with most of what they read here, then they will have found a resource to aid in their Christian growth. If a visitor disagrees, hopefully they will be honest enough to consider what they find here. A seed planted...
